IRA ROLLO ARNEY, son of J.S. and LENNIE ARNEY, was born February 27, l87l, on the old home place near Leon, Iowa, and departed this life January 27, l9l7, at the age of 45 years and ll months. He went to Des Moines in early manhood where he learned the plasterer's trade, at which he worked until about three years ago, when he lost his health which he never regained. February l4, l900, he was married to MISS ANNA CARROL, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. To this union two children were born, namely, FLORENCE and GLADYS. After he was married he located permanently in Des Moines where he resided until death called him.

He was always an affectionate husband and father. He was of a happy, jovial temperament and hospitality was more than a form with him. In early manhood he professed conversion, but never united with any church. He, however, always respected the religion of his father and mother.

The funeral services were held at Fairview church, Monday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. Raoul R. Moser, who was assisted by Rev. Walter A. Weyraugh, of Van Wert, had charge of the same. The burial took place in the Franklin Cemetery where the body of the departed was laid to rest by the side of his mother, who lies buried there.

Besides the wife and two children, he leaves to mourn his loss, an aged father, J.S. ARNEY, two sisters, two brothers, three half-brothers, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Sincerest sympathy is expressed to all of these bereaved ones. His brothers are J.A. ARNEY, of Kingsville, Mo.; I.O. ARNEY, of Bagley, Minn.; His sisters are MRS. MARY MACHLAN and MRS. J.M. GARDNER, both of Leon, and his half-brothers are WALTER D. ARNEY, of Madras, Oregon, ALAIN A. ARNEY, of Anamosa, and GEO E. ARNEY, of Leon.
