Clyde, for many years was a member of the Unity Baptist Church, but when he retired from farming a few years ago, he and his wife joined the Humeston First Baptist Church of which he was a member until the time of his death.  Having spent nearly all his life in the vicinity of Humeston and Cambria, he had gained many friends who knew him as a good citizen, friend and as a farmer and operator of a threshing machine.  After his retirement he and his wife moved to Humeston.  Three months ago he took sick and, with his wife, was taken to the rest home at Corydon, where he received the best of care.
