Misc. Notes
1930 CENSUS, PENNSYLVANIA, CAMBRIA COUNTY, BARNESBORO:
Found in 1930 Census, with wife Enrica and sons Louis (age 3 yr 4 mo), Frank (age 2 yr 1 mo) and James (age 3 mo). Lawrence is age 32, Enrica is age 18, and she was age 14 when they were married. Both adults were born in Italy, and they spoke Italian, but they are now able to speak English. Lawrence cannot read or write, but Enrica can. He immigrated in 1921, she in 1920. He is a naturalized citizen, she is an alien. He works for the Steam Railroad (ALL of their neighbors either work for the railroad, or work as coal miners) He is a veteran of the World War. (Memo: That would mean he served in the Italian army?) They live at 618 Philadelphia Avenue in the town of Barnesboro, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. They rent their home for $10/month, and they do not own a radio.

Memo: This is probably enough information to go to the Ellis Island site, and determine exactly when they immigrated, and what ship they came on? (See following.)

Memo: Lorenzo Lucchetti arrived on the ship “Henry R Mallory”,sailing from Naples on January 23, 1921, and arriving in New York. He is age 23, and travelling alone. He is headed for Allentown. His nearest relative is his mother Antonia, and he is from Ceccano.
