Misc. Notes
1830 census, Sussex County, Delaware:”Zebudee Palmore” is there. He is in age 20-30 bracket, wife in 30-40. They have one son under age 5, one daughter under age 5, and one daughter age 10-15.

1840 census, Marion, Fayette County, Ohio: “Zebadee Parma” is present. I am pretty sure this is the right person, since the 1850 census shows he had children born in Ohio at about this time. Also there are online genealogies claiming he was here. However there seem to be two extra children? In any event, they have 1 boy under 5, 1 boy 5-10, 1 boy 10-15, 1 girl under 5, 1 girl 5-10, and 1 girl 10-15.

(MEMO: Living nearby in 1840 is “Thomas Ward”, who must be a candidate as the father of Zebidee’s wife. Note also that there are SEVERAL “Palmore” families in Sussex county, and that name appears to remain common in other years. Perhaps “Palmer” was originally “Palmore”? I see from various sources that “Palmore” is not an uncommon name, and that it is sometimes associated with “Palmer”. There are indications that the name may be either English or Italian.)

1850 census, Jackson, Elkhart, Indiana: “Zebidel” Palmer is age 54, was born in Delaware. His wife is “A” Palmer, age 50. At home are Thomas (age 21, born DE), Minos (13, DE), Lovina E (10, OH), James (8, OH), Ann Filette (7, OH), Nancy J (5, ?). Also in house is Sarah J. Brady, age 3.

1880 Census, Richland, Decatur, IA: “Z Parmer” age 78 is living with his daughter Lavina Palmer Davis, age 40, and Lavina’s son “V.Z. Davis” age 15. (Other sources show that “V.Z.” is named “V. Zebidee Davis”, after his grandfather.)
