Mr. Stanley Paul Norris, 69, husband of Judy (Burns) Norris, of 451 McKinley Road, Middlebrook, Va., died Friday, May 13, 2005, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Boone, N.C., a son of the late Lyman Paul and Addie Coffey Norris.

Mr. Norris was a U.S. Army veteran. He was previously employed by Silver Brook Farm as a Maintenance Contractor, and most recently with Sugar Loaf Farms. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, scuba diving, and camping with family and friends. A loving and loyal husband, father, and grandfather, his faith in God made his walk on this earth a role to be always cherished and imitated.

He was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as a Church Councilman and a Trustee.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Burns Norris; a son, Paul Russell and wife, Phyllis, of Middlebrook; a daughter, Becky Norris Beard and husband, John, of State College, Pa.; three sisters, Kay Davenport Walker of Middlebrook, Bonnie Hurley and husband, Bernard, of Damascus, and Wanda Stephenson and husband, Roy, of Staunton; a brother-in-law, Conrad Burns of Billings, MT; two grandchildren, Brittany and Logan Beard; a step-granddaughter, Erin Pursley and husband, Preston; a great-grandchild, Wyatt Pursley; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jo Ann Bunn officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
