COFFEY, RUFUS N., born Sept. 9, 1935, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare System. Rufus was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Mooresburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Buena Coffey; wife, Bessie; sister, Mary Johnson; and brothers, Lewis, Nelson, J.D. and Hobert Coffey. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Coffey of Mooresburg, Larry and Phyllis Coffey of Rogersville and Wayne Coffey of the home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Alonzo Long of Bean Station and Anna Mae Dalton of Thorn Hill; brothers and sisters-in-law, C.A. and Ella Coffey, Gene and Carolyn Coffey, Maudie Coffey of Bean Station and Katherine Coffey of Kissimmee, Fla. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert White from Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15 at Meadowbranch Cemetery in Bean Station. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15 at the funeral home. Family and friends may call at their convenience at the home of Phyllis Long. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Phyllis Long, 197 Old Lee Hwy., Bean Station, TN 37708 to assist with funeral expenses. Arrangements by Allen Funeral Home in Morristown.

COFFEY, BESSIE MAY, of Bean Station, at the age of 69, passed away at home Thurs., April 29, 2004 after a long illness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Virginia Clonce; sister, Marcinia Wolfe and niece, Vicki Wolfe. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rufus Coffey; sons, Jimmy of Mooresburg, Larry and Wayne of Bean Station; sisters, Juanita Long of Bean Station and Mabel Vaughn of Mooresburg and Margie Dockery of Knoxville; grandchildren, Darrell, Johnny, Billy, and Leslie Coffey; one great-grandson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sun., May 2 at Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Robert White officiating. Burial will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery in Bean Station. The family received friends Sat. at Allen Funeral Home.
