POLAND — Richard O. Coffey, 68 of Poland, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born January 23, 1940 in Monticello, KY. to Jesse Romer and Lola (Barnett) Coffey.

He was a job setter at General Motors Allison's Transmission in Indianapolis, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include wife, Brenda Coffey; five daughters, Deborah McIntosh of Indianapolis, Robin Duncan of Coatesville, Ellen Ferrell of Rochester, Christina Seeley of Speedway, and Shannon Keyt of Greencastle; a brother, David Coffey of Monticello, Ky.; and two sisters Thelma Flynn of Indianapolis and Suzanne Piercy of Monticello.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kelly Coffey, a sister Emogene Eads and four brothers, Hershchel Coffey, Clifford Coffey, Troy Coffey, and Elmo Coffey.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.

Burial will follow at Garrard Chapel Cemetery in Owen County.
