MOULTON -- Mrs. Edna Coffey Pickens, 82, Moulton, died Friday at 3;10 p.m. at Lawrence County Hospital.

Services will be today at 3 p.m. from Moulton Baptist Church with burial in Moulton City Cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Byron Stephenson, Mrs. Kyle McWhorter, Moulton; two sons, Hayward Pickens, Sheffield, and Bobby Pickens, Moulton; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Ellenburg, Mrs. Lula Barron, Haleyville; two brothers, Edward Coffey, Hagerstown, Md., and Robert Coffey, Oakland, Md.; nine grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Roberson, Franklin Roberson, Farris Pickens, Melvin McMillan, Vince Sparks, Harry Tooker.

The body will be at the home of Mrs. Stephenson until taken to the church to lie in state one hour.

Elliott Funeral Home of Moulton is directing.

William Knox Pickens Passes; Rites To Be Said In Moulton Sun.

MOULTON -- William Knox Pickens, 74, Moulton, passed away Friday at 5 p.m. of a heart attack.

Mr. Pickens, well-known of the Tri-Cities, is the father of William Hayword Pickens of Sheffield.

Other survivors include the wife, Mrs. Edna Pickens of Moulton; two daughters, Mrs. Byron Stephenson of Moulton, Mrs. Kyle McWhorter of Moulton; two other sons, Robert C. Pickens of Moulton, Curtis Pickens of Kalamazoo, Mich; two sisters, Mrs. R.L. Roberson of Moulton; Mrs. Tom Roberson of Mt. Hope; three brothers, J.J. Pickens of Birmingham, Paul Pickens of Madison; Harvey Pickens of Hartselle.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Moulton Baptist church, with Rev. Roswell E. Owens and Rev. W. M. Wear officiating. Burial will follow in Moulton city cemetery.

Mr. Pickens had resided in Moulton and Lawrence county. He was a farmer and livestock dealer. Mr. Pickens was a member of the Moulton Baptist church.

Mr. Pickens was walking across his pasture Friday afternoon and suffered a heart attack and fell dead in the pasture.
