He was born July 29, 1969 in Watauga County, the son of Dewey Roger and Mary West Church. Mr. Church was a member of the Foscoe Christian Church and was employed by West Masonry and Construction. He enjoyed working in shrubbery and landscaping. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter; Kayla Danielle Church of Vilas; one son, Chance Church of Boone; three sisters, Debbie Miller of West Jefferson, Delores Church and husband, Phillip, of Foscoe, and Denise Stahl and husband, Jimmy, of Foscoe; his maternal grandmother, Northa Colvard West of Boone; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Noah and Virginia Church; and his maternal grandfather, Luther West. Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Foscoe Christian Church. Officiating will be Minister Lance Hostetter, Minister Ken Caswell, the Rev. T. J. Wilson and the Rev. Max West. Burial will follow in the Calloway Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Noah and Virginia Scholarship Fund and or the Foscoe Christian Church Youth Group, both in care of the Foscoe Christian Church, 8834 NC Hwy 105 South, Boone, N.C. 28607. The family will receive friends Tuesday from noon until 2 o’clock at the Foscoe Christian Church prior to the service.
