Mrs. Mildred Coffey Key Dies at North Wilkesboro

North Wilkesboro, March 7. - Mrs. Mildred Jane Coffey Key died yesterday at her home at 416 P street, this city. She was nearly 61 years old, being born on May 5, 1872.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Fairplans Baptist church.

Surviving her are the following children: Mrs. C. V. Lloyd, Mrs. C. E. Bauguess, W. H. Key, R. E. Key, Mrs. P. H. Shew, P. T. Key, Evelyn Key, of North Wilkesboro; J. E. Key, of Portsmouth, Va. The following brothers and sisters also survive: L. C. Coffey of North Wilkesboro; Mrs. Will Bumgarner, Mrs. Lee Johnson, Nick Coffey, Calvin Coffey, of Reddies River, and Mrs. George Key, of Laurel Springs.

Mildred Jane Coffey and John Andrew Key were married on 19 January 1894 in Wilkes Co., NC. John Andrew Key, son of Henry Milton Key and Martha Ann Jones, was born on 20 April 1871 in Alleghany Co., NC.¹⁵⁰⁹⁵ He died of chronic interstitial nephritis on 7 January 1924 at the age of 52 in Fairplains, Wilkes Co., NC and was buried at Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery in North Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co., NC on 8 January 1924.^{15096,15097,15098}
