Mrs. Coffey, Long a Resident

Mrs. Grace C. Coffey, 3214 W. 16th, died yesterday. Born in Brown County, she had resided in Marion County the past 40 years. Mrs. Coffey, who was 71, retired in 1952 from Real Silk Hosiery Mills. She had worked in the lingerie department there for 27 years.

She was a member of the Eighth Christian Church, the Grandmother's Club and Speedway chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Conkle W. 16th St. Funeral Home with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburg.

Surviving are her husband, P. L. Coffey; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Biddle, Mrs. Marguerite Bymaster and Mrs. Marie Wirey, all of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Lola Crosby and Mrs. Pauline Bigelow, and a stepson, Laymon Hammer, also all of Indianapolis; eight sisters, Mrs. Nettie Wirey, Indianapolis; Mrs. Cora Clark and Mrs. Amelia [Lena] Waltz, both of Trafalgar; Mrs. Gladys McKee, Mrs. Delia Galey and Mrs. Erie [Arie] Fordyce, all of Edinburg, Mrs. Bessie Campbell, Barnesboro, Pa., and Mrs. Esma Campbell, also of Barnesboro; three brothers, Emerson Coy, Shelbyville, Lora Coy, Franklin, and Ray Coy, Brownsburg; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

Grace Coffey Burial Monday

Services for Grace C. Coffey, 71, 3214 W. 16th, who died yesterday, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Conkle West 16th Street Funeral Home, with burial in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburg.

Born in Brown County, Mrs. Coffey had lived in Marion County 40 years. In 1952 she retired after 27 years employment in the lingerie department of Real Silk Hosiery Mills. She was a member of Eighth Christian Church, Grandmothers Club and Speedway Chapter, Eastern Star.

Survivors are the husband, P.L. Coffey, three daughters, Marie Wirey, Mildred Biddle and Marguerite Bymaster, Indianapolis; eight sisters, three brothers, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
