Lenoir - The funeral for William Garland "Mike" Coffey, 75, of Rt. 11, Lenoir, was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Advent Christian Church, where he was a member and deacon, by the Rev. Marshall Tidwell.

Burial was in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

Coffey died Wednesday.

He was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Caldwell County, a son of the late William Finley and Annie Mae Smith Coffey. he was retired from Drexel Furniture and was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are his wife, Florence Setzer Coffey; two daughters, Peggy Boston of Benson and Kay Sherrill of Stony Point; two brothers, Raymond W. Coffey and George Coffey of Lenoir; three sisters, Margie Hendrix of Vilas and Lucille Torrence and Willie Mae Jones of Lenoir; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
