Lillie Keller

Lillie Faye Keller, 77, of Hawthorne St., Hudson, died Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.

She was born April 16, 1928, in Caldwell County, to the late S. M. Coffey and Maggie Philyaw Coffey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ginger Webb; a great-grandson, Caleb Webb; six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Keller was a Homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John J. Keller of the home; a son, Johnny Williams and wife Shelia of Granite Falls and a sister, Opal Myers of Lenoir.

Graveside service for Mrs. Keller will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 11 am at Dry Ponds Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Rick Crouse officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Johnny Williams, 22 Valley Street, Granite Falls.

Lillie Faye Coffey and John Jonas Keller were married. John Jonas Keller, son of Woodrow Wilson Keller and Evie Beulah Robbins, was born on 25 June 1931 in Caldwell Co., NC. John died at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 26 May 2012 and was buried at Dry Ponds Baptist Church Cemetery in Sawmills, Caldwell Co., NC on 30 May 2012 .34933


Lenoir, NC – John Jonas Keller, age 80, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born in Caldwell County on June 25, 1931 to the late Wilson W. Keller and Evie Robbins Keller and was married to the late Faye Coffey Keller.

Mr. Keller was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He served in the Berlin Airlift and provided intelligence during the Cold War.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Keller; granddaughter, Ginger Webb; and grandson, Caleb Webb.

He is survived by his step-son, Johnny Williams of Granite Falls; sister, Peggy Suddreth of Lenoir; sister, Norma Barringer of Sutter, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mr. Keller's life will take place graveside at Dry Ponds Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 5:00 PM with Dr. Rick Crouse and Reverend Robert Livingston officiating. Military honors will be presented.

The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to: Dry Ponds Baptist Church for the purpose of maintaining the cemetery.
