Billy Howell

Billy Gene Howell, 70, of North Catawba Church Avenue, Lenoir, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at his residence.

He was born April 19, 1934 in Caldwell County to the late Oscar Vance Howell Sr. and Ruth Coffey Howell.

Mr. Howell retired from Hickory Manufacturing Company and was a member of North Catawba Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Margie Tramble Howell of the home; One daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Steve Bombara of Ramsey, N.J.; five brothers, O.V. Howell Jr. and wife, Patti, of Hickory, Bob Howell and wife, Rachael, and Dan Howell and wife, Yvette, both of Bethlehem, John Howell and wife, Sandra of Granite Falls, and Ron Howell and wife, Cindy, of Gurnee, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Moretz of Connelly Springs, Mrs. Mary Francis Bright and husband Charles, of Beckley, W. Va., and Mrs. Maxine Moser and husband, Joe, of Concord; and one granddaughter, Alana Rose Bombara of New Jersey.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at 11 a.m. at North Catawba Baptist Church conducted by the Revs. John Barnhardt and John Brashears and Dr. Charles Bright. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Robbie Howell, Scott Howell, Todd Howell, Nathan Howell, Dennis Wilson and David Tramble

Memorial contributions may be made to: North Catawba Baptist Church Youth Program, 1596 North Catawba Church Ave., Lenoir, N.C. 28645.

Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
