Daniel Coffey

Retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. Daniel [sic] [Dayton] C. Coffey, 51, of Route 1, Randleman, died Tuesday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

Funeral plans are incomplete at Hanes-Lineberry Vanstory Street Funeral Home.

He was a Watauga County native.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Faye Coffey; sons Charles D. Coffey of Greensboro, Randy Scott Coffey; daughter, Mrs. Kathy Tart, of Pleasant Garden; father, Don Coffey of Boone; brothers, Clayton Coffey of Taylorsville, Harold Coffey of Boone, J. D. Coffey of Lenoir; sister, Miss Retha Coffey of Boone.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-8 p.m. Thursday and at other times at the residence.

A living couple was married. Living (private).
