Laurence Coffey wrote that James died at the home of his son Marvel on King's Creek, and was buried at Hull Hill cemetery in about 1840. This is probably incorrect since James was enumerated in the 1850 census. James Coffey and Delilah "Liley" Ferguson270 were married on 31 August 1799 in Wilkes Co., NC.271,272 Delilah "Liley" Ferguson was born (date unknown).
