Bonnie died on 7 August 2007 at the age of 89 at Life Care Center in Banner Elk, Avery Co., NC and was buried at Crossnore Baptist Church Cemetery in Crossnore, Avery Co., NC.35809

Bonnie Coffey Rash, 89, of Crossnore died on Tuesday August 7, 2007 at the Life Care Center in Banner Elk.

A native of Avery County, she was the daughter of the late Gus F. and Betty Beard Coffey.

She had worked as a legal secretary and bookkeeper for J.V Bowers & Crossnore School, Inc. Bonnie was a member of the Crossnore Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ray Rash.

Survivors include her son, Toby Rash and wife Donetta of Crossnore; two grandsons, Ben Rash of Crossnore and Mark Rash of Al Asad, Iraq and great grandson Harley Rash.

Interment services will be held in the Crossnore Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bonnie Letha Coffey and Ray Bradley Rash were married on 26 January 1939 in Carter Co., TN.35810,35811 Ray Bradley Rash, son of Alvin Edward Rash and Olive Danford Cornett, was born on 9 August 1914 in Newland, Avery Co., NC.35812 He lived with his parents in Linville, Avery Co., NC on 19 January 1920. Ray died on 17 September 2004 at the age of 90 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Banner Elk, Avery Co., NC and was buried at Crossnore Baptist Church Cemetery in Crossnore, Avery Co., NC.35813,35814

Mr. Ray Bradley Rash age 90, of Crossnore died Friday September 17, 2004 in the Cannon Memorial Hospital.

Son of the late Alvin and Olive Rash, Mr. Rash was a member of the Crossnore Baptist Church and worked as a truck driver.

Survivors of Mr. Rash include wife, Bonnie Coffee Rash of the home, son, Toby and wife Donnette Rash of Newland, brother Ned Rash of Yorktown VA, grandsons, Mark Rash and Benjamin Rash of Crossnore and great-grandson Harley Ray Rash of Montezuma.

Interment and military graveside services will be held at the Crossnore Baptist Church Cemetery.
