Thomas died of a cerebral hemorrhage on 23 March 1946 at the age of 62 at Watauga County Hospital in Boone, Watauga Co., NC and was buried at Boone Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC on 26 March 1946.^19823,19824

Thomas Lemuel Wright and Sarah Emeline Bragg were married in 1914 in Raleigh Co., WV.¹⁹⁸²⁵ They¹⁹⁸²⁵ appeared in the census on 15 April 1930 in Globe Twp., Caldwell Co., NC.¹⁹⁸²⁶ Sarah Emeline Bragg, daughter of James Jackson Bragg and Rhoda Emeline Cox, was born on 18 March 1893 in Summers Co., WV.⁷¹⁷¹ Sarah died on 10 September 1979 at the age of 86 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Boone Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC.^19827,19828

Apparently, and according to family history, Thomas Jackson Wright and his siblings allowed their mother to continue absorb the taxes on the McCroskey property. When she went to claim the property they had to sue to obtain her share. Today there remains about seven acres belonging to the McCrosky heirs.
