Fitzgerald and his wife, Janet of Roseland; three daughters, Edith Marie Lane of Madison Heights, Barbara Lucille Rowland and her husband, Roy of Lynchburg, and Linda Gail Bailes and her husband, Jeffrey of Stuarts Draft; daughter-in-law, Susie Fitzgerald of Roseland; two sisters, Beatrice Fitzgerald and Nellie Beard, both of Lynchburg; 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son.
