Frances Coffey

Frances Louise Greene Coffey, 81, of Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, N.C., died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Valley Nursing Center.

She was born Nov. 1, 1923, in Caldwell County to the late William D. Greene and Betty Estes Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Millard L. Coffey.

Mrs. Coffey was a cashier at Kroger's Grocery Store.

Survivors include a son, Randy Coffey and wife Carol of Hickory, N.C.; a daughter, Willa Coffey Mays of Bozeman, Mont.; four sisters, Georgia Pritchard of Live Oak, Fla., Maggie Allen of Lenoir, N.C., Mildred Buchanan of Raleigh, N.C., and Becky Kirby of Lenoir, N.C.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bob Parmley officiating.
