10609. Minnie Lee Coffey was born on 31 July 1890 in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC. She lived with her parents in Watauga Co., NC on 22 June 1900. Minnie died on 2 December 1972 at the age of 82 in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA and was buried at Pateros Cemetery in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA.31203

Pateros, Minnie Lee Brownlee, 82, Pateros died at her home Saturday.

She was born on July 31, 1890, at Blowing Rock, North Carolina and in 1911 moved to Pateros, where she has since made her home. She was married to Charles Harrell in Okanogan on 30 Jul 1911. He died in 1917. she was married to George W. Brownlee on Feb. 16, 1919 in Okanogan. Mrs. Brownlee died in 1962.

Mrs. Brownlee was a member of the Pateros Church of Christ.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. H. S. Newman, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. David Brownlee, Pateros; Mrs. Woodrow McClellan, Chelan; and Mrs. Aurthur (Grace) Nordang, Methow; a son, John Brownlee, Leavenworth; two stepsons; and 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was held in Pateros and was buried at the Pateros Cemetery on the Tuesday after she died.

Minnie Lee Coffey and Charles Martin Harrell were married on 30 June 1911 in Okanogan Co., WA. Charles Martin Harrell, son of Jessie Harrell and Alida Townsend, was born on 12 February 1882. Charles died on 24 September 1917 at the age of 35 in Okanogan, Okanogan Co., WA and was buried at Okanogan City Cemetery in Okanogan, Okanogan Co., WA.31204,31205,31206

Minnie Lee Coffey and George Walter Brownlee were married on 16 February 1919 in Okanogan Co., WA. They appeared in the census on 3 February 1920 in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA.31207 They31207 appeared in the census on 2 April 1930 in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA.31208 Minnie and George31208 appeared in the census on 20 April 1940 in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA.31209 George Walter Brownlee, son of Andrew Brownlee and Grace Aitchison, was born on 17 January 1875 in Illinois. He lived with his father in Rose Hill Twp., Hand Co., SD on 15 June 1900. George died in 1962 at the age of 87 in Okanogan Co., WA and was buried at Pateros Cemetery in Pateros, Okanogan Co., WA.31210

Pateros – George W. Brownlee, 88, died Friday after a long illness. 

Mr. Brownlee was born Jan. 17, 1874, at Roberts, Ill., where he spent his early life. At the age of 13 he moved with his parents to Iowa. He spent 14 years there and then came to Pateros in 1902. 

He married Pearl Best in 1899 in South Dakota. She preceded him in death in 1909. He married Minnie Coffee in 1919 in Okanogan.

Mr. Brownlee was a member of the Church of Christ.

Surviving are his widow; four sons, David Walter and Robert Brownlee, Pateros; John Brownlee, Okanogan; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Nordang, Teko; three step-daughters, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Smith Funeral Home of Chelan is in charge of arrangements.
