Mr. Pervy Lee Coffey, 87, of 2432 Laboratory Rd., Lincolnton, died Sunday, June 25, 2000.

His funeral will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000 in the Riverview Baptist Church with the Rev. Malcolm Ivey and rev. Nathan May officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Coffey was born March 30, 1913 in Lincolnton County to the late James Thomas and Roscilia Hicks Coffey. He was a retired textile supervisor. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church where he both sang and played the saxaphone [sic] with the choir and served as both a Deacon and as church treasurer for many years.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mark E. Coffey.

Survivors include, wife, Hazel, one son, Edwyn and daughter-in-law, Susan Coffey of Mt. Holly, one brother, William Vance Coffey of Lincolnton, one sister, Juanita Dysart of Lincolton; one granddaughter, Diane Donaldson of Cramerton; and 3 great grandchildren, Adam, Kelli, and Haley Donaldson all of Cramerton.

The family requests memorials to Riverview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2230 Riverview Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Pervey Lee Coffey and Flossie Baker were married. They appeared in the census on 5 April 1940 in Lincolnton Twp., Lincoln Co., NC.³¹⁷⁶¹ Flossie Baker was born on 12 November 1913 in Lincoln Co., NC. Flossie died in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., NC on 26 June 1985 and was buried at River View Cemetery in Lincolnton, Lincoln Co., NC on 28 June 1985 .^31762,31763
