James Teague

James Walter “Bill” Teague, 63, of Laytown Road, Lenoir, and a native of Blowing Rock, died Saturday afternoon, July 7, 2007, at his home.

Born Jan. 12, 1944, in Watauga County, he was a son of Walter “Dude” and Luecinia Gragg Teague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Cora Ann and Penny Teague; and three brothers, Frank, J.C. and Jess Teague.

Mr. Teague attended Blue Ridge Community Christian Church in Blowing Rock. He was a heavy equipment operator for Brookshire Grading in the Gamewell community.

Mr. Teague is survived by his wife, Ann Colley Teague; one daughter, Tammy Teague of Lenoir; two sons, Billy Teague and wife Teresa, and James Walter Teague and wife Linda; and one step-son, Keith Colley, all of Lenoir. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.

Funeral service will be conducted today at noon at the Austin and Barnes Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Rev. Charles Woodring. The body will lie in state at the chapel from 11 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock.

The family received friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Austin and Barnes Funeral Home.

James Walter "Bill" Teague and Ann Ada Colley were married. Ann Ada Colley was born in 1949 in Dickerson, Montgomery Co., VA. Ann died on 23 December 2009 at the age of 60 in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC.46017,46018

Mrs. Ann Ada Teague, 60, of Lenoir, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at her residence.

She was born in Richmond, Va., to the late Robert Hayes Colley and Roxie Coffey Colley Cook.

Survivors include her sons, Keith Colley, James Teague and Billy Teague and his wife, Teresa, all of Lenoir; her daughter, Tammy Roxann Teague of the home; brothers, Robert Colley and wife, Margie, of Morganton, Little Bill Colley and wife, Paula, of Lenoir, and Rex Colley and wife, Karen, of Morganton; sisters, Geraldine Coffey and husband, Bill, of Lenoir, Fanny Teague of Hudson, Norma Harris and husband, Rob, of Morganton. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and a number of nephews and nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James "Bill" Walter Teague, Sr.; a brother, Clyde Colley; a brother-in-law, Jess Teague; two sister-in-laws; and two additional brother-in-laws.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at her residence with Mr. Charlie Woodring speaking. The family received friends at the residence Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m.
