768. Felix G. Coffey was born circa 1842 in Tennessee. Felix resided with his parents in Giles Co., TN on 9 October 1850. Felix resided with the J. M. Hickman family in Spring Grove, Maury Co., TN on 21 June 1860 and worked there as a farmer. He served with the 48th TN Inf Regt (Voorhies') between 1861 and 1865.3214 Felix was charged in court with assault on 16 May 1869 in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN. Lacking bail, he went to jail.3215

Assault and Battery. Felix Coffey and B. S. Tucker were arrested yesterday, charged with assaulting a negro named Ed. Hold. The evidence relieved Tucker of any blame, and he was discharged. Coffey was found guilty, and Justice Matthews required him to give bond in the sum of $500 for his appearance before the Criminal Court, and in default of bail he was committed to jail.
