Mrs. Ola Coffey Church, 79, of 533 Ransom Street, Blowing Rock, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Blowing Rock Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Church Helms of Stallings, and Deborah Kay Church Fahlstrom of Fairfield, Calif.; two grandsons, Charles Arnold Fahlstrom and Todd Matthew Fahlstron, both of Fairfield, Calif.; one brother, Everette Coffey of Blowing Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold "Red" Church; her father and mother, Fred and Mary Octavia Loudermelt Coffey; one sister, Mary Hazel Miles; and two brothers, George and Roy Coffey.

Mrs. Church was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord.

Services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shew and the Rev. Dean Coffey officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family received friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.

Ola Coffey and Arnold "Red" Church were married. Arnold "Red" Church, son of Manuel Church and Elizabeth Hodges, was born on 20 December 1916 in Watauga Co., NC.45591 Arnold died on 17 January 1999 at the age of 82 in North Carolina and was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Blowing Rock, Watauga Co., NC.45592,45593
