Norman T. Coffey, 88, of 75 Popplewell Street in Jamestown, died Friday, January 28, 2003 at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs. He was the widower of Margie Lawless Coffey.

Mr. Coffey was born March 10, 1916 in Jamestown to the late Foree and Mary Sharp Coffey. He was a retired union carpenter and a member of the Jamestown Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife; a son, Greg Coffey; two brothers, Bob and John Lee Coffey; and a sister Josephine.

Survivors include a son, Joe and wife Barbara Coffey of Jamestown; a daughter, Deanie Popplewell of Russell Springs; two brothers, Charles and wife Louise Coffey of Jamestown and Woody and wife Tootie Coffey of Indianapolis, Indiana; four grand-children and two great-grandchildren.

A religious service was held at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 30, with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating and music by Janelle Miller. Pallbearers were Joe Tyler Coffey, Brian McQueary, Clifton Taylor, Gerld Luttrell, Rudy Chapman, and Jimmy Heathman. Interment was in Jamestown Cemetery.

H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.

Norman T. Coffey and Margie Lawless were married. Margie Lawless was born on 3 September 1921 in Kentucky. Margie died in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY on 12 April 1993 and was buried at Jamestown City Cemetery in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY in April 1993 .27356
