Ms. Sandra Coffey Greene, 43, hairstylist, died Sept. 8, 1992, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir. Funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at Pendry's Funeral Home, Lenoir. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight.

Survivors are her daughter, Angelique Greene; parents, William and Edith Coffey of Lenoir; brother, Gregory Coffey; sisters, Mrs. Barbara Gragg of
Lenoir, Mrs. Sherry Emory of Durham.

Sandra was murdered by Sherman Marcus Daniel, a black male, when he assaulted her in the parking lot of the hair styling salon that she managed in Lenoir, Caldwell Co.

Sherman Marcus Daniel was convicted on Mar. 22, 1994 and sentenced to life in prison for murder in the second degree. He had been previously convicted for "sniffing glue" in Jun., 1991.

Robert died on 28 September 2009 at the age of 62 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC and was buried at Littlejohn Methodist Church Cemetery in Gamewell, Caldwell Co., NC on 1 October 2009.48262

Robert Greene

Robert Odelle Greene, 62, of Spoke Lane, Hudson, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1947, in Caldwell County to the late Arnold and Ethel Hollar Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Coffey Greene; one brother, William Fate Greene; and one sister, Mildred Ford.

Mr. Greene was employed by Broyhill Furniture Industries and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Angelique Greene of Lenoir; one brother, Norman "Bill" Greene of Lenoir; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Cockran of Cleveland, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. at Littlejohn United Methodist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Rodney Raby.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
