Sixth Generation

2120. Albert C. Sampson "Sampson" Calloway was born in April 1846 in North Carolina.7927

If Albert is a child of Eveline/Emeline, where was he in 1850? There is a child in the Larkin Calloway household in 1850 by the name of Samuel, age 5. The name is clearly written but the enumerator could have heard Sampson and wrote Samuel. He lived with Larkin and Sarah Calloway. in Johns River Twp., Caldwell Co., NC on 23 July 1860.

Sampson, or Samuel, could also be Eveline's brother. A birth record for Sampson has not been found, but there was a 5 yr. old Sampson in the Larkin Calloway family in the 1850 census, and a 14 yr. old Sampson in the family in the 1860 census.
