12683. Mary Alice Calloway was born on 22 June 1917 in Watauga Twp., Watauga Co., NC.36917 Mary died at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, Avery Co., NC on 8 September 2008 and was buried at Mountlawn Memorial Park and Gardens in Boone, Watauga Co., NC on 11 September 2008 .36918

Mrs. Mary Calloway Wilson, 91, of 290 Daniel Boone Drive, Boone, wife of the late Raymond D. Wilson, died Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville.

She was born June 23, 1917 in Watauga County, a daughter of the late Albert C. and Nettie Byers Calloway. 

Mrs. Wilson was a member and Sunday School Teacher of Perkinsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter; Ruth Cook and husband, Robert, of Boone; three sons, Dean Wilson and wife, Barbara, of Hollywood, Md., Dallas Wilson and wife, Judy, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Danny Wilson and wife, Janice, of Freeport, Fla., a grandson, Robert H. "Jake" Cook, Jr., and wife, Julie, of Whitefish, Montana; two great-granddaughters, Anna and Natalie Cook of Whitefish, Montana; three step-granddaughters, Misty W. Shaw and husband, Patrick, of Freeport, Fla., Candy Bercaw of Chesepeake, Va., and Wendy Barrett and husband, John, of Boone; three step-great-granddaughters, Brie Ann Griffith of California, Chelsea Bercaw of Chesepeake, Va., and Amanda Bercaw of Danville, Va.; a step-great-grandson, Justin Griffith of California; three sisters, Della C. Ryan of Chicago, Ill., Lola B. Jackson of Vilas, and Shirley C. Delp of Princeton, West Virginia; and a brother, Roy B. Calloway and wife, Carolyn, of Boone. A number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded by her husband, Raymond D. Wilson; her father and mother, Albert [sic] C. and Nettie Byers Calloway; one sister, Wanda Ezzelle; two brothers, John and A. C. Calloway.

Services were conducted Thursday afternoon, Sept. 11, 2008 at 2:00 o'clock at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Pastor Harold Bennett. 

Burial followed in Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.

Mary Alice Calloway and Raymond D. Wilson were married on 27 March 1937 in Boone, Watauga Co., NC.36919 Raymond D. Wilson was born on 7 September 1915 in North Carolina. Raymond died in North Carolina on 27 September 2000 and was buried at Mountlawn Memorial Park and Gardens in Boone, Watauga Co., NC in September 2000 .36920
