Amanda died in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN on 12 January 1909 and was buried at Ellettsville Methodist Church Cemetery in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN in January 1909 .⁸¹¹⁶

Dora Sherman Coffey was born in July 1867 in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN. Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., SD in December 1890. Dora died in Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., SD on 29 December 1890 and was originally buried at⁸¹¹⁷ Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., SD in December 1890. He was later reburied at Ellettsville Methodist Church Cemetery in January 1891.^8118,8119

Dora Sherman Coffey was a member of Co. B., 7th US Cavalry and was killed on Dec. 29, 1890 at the Battle of Wounded Knee. He was originally buried at Pine Ridge but subsequently removed by his family and reburied at Ellettsville.
