Julia Stinnette Coffey, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2001 at the home of her daughter in Urbanna, Va. She was the wife for nearly 50 years of the late Arthur Hill Coffey.

Born March 31, 1914 in Amherst County, she was a daughter of the late Henry Littleton and Stokey Cash Stinnette. She was a member of Ivy Hill United Methodist Church and a retired employee of the Central Virginia Training Center.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia C. Beale and husband, Rev. David Beale of Urbanna, Va.; three sisters, Virginia S. Spencer and husband, Preston of Arrington, Va., Margarette S. Coffey and Lucille S. Cash of Amherst, Va.; three grandchildren, Robin B. Franklin and husband, Robert of Champlain, Va., David A. Beale and wife, Robin of Arlington, Washington and Timothy B. Beale of Clyo, Georgia; four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Joshua and Rachel Franklin of Champlain, Va., Landon Beale of Arlington, Washington; seven nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Stinnette.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2001 at Driskill Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alexis Kemmler and Rev. David Beale officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel. Box 790, Urbanna, VA. 23175.
