Ina Giles Coffey Morris - 1906-1997

Ina Giles Coffey Morris, 90, of Oneida, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 1997, at the Scott County Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late John and Henrietta Blevins Coffey and was also preceded in death by her husband Lee Francis Morris; four sisters, Agnes Mays, Jenny Newport, Dutch Litton and Bess Goodin; and six brothers, Bud, Woodrow, Fred, John, Luther, and Bob Coffey.

She was a retired school teacher having taught in the Scott County School System for many years and was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Morris is survived by a sister, Christine Davis of Cincinnati, O.; and many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and [sic] Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Special music was provided by George Hensley. Burial was in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Tobey Mays, Patrick Mays, Jody Brooks, Mick Coffey, Stephen Stanley and Kenny Mays.

Jones and son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Ina Giles Coffey and Lee F. Morris were married. Lee F. Morris was born on 1 November 1902. Lee died in Tennessee on 14 August 1970 and was buried at Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida, Scott Co., TN in August 1970 .26765
