Born in Yukon, West Virginia, he was a self-employed mechanic and was Pentecostal by faith. He was preceded in death by his father, William Kelcie Coffey; and by two brothers, Ronnie Coffey and Duane Sykes. He is survived by his wife, Jill Coffey; three sons, Bryan Coffey and wife, Virginia, Roger Coffey and wife, Barb, and Bill Coffey, all of Corbin; mother, Gloria Edna Rogers Coffey; brothers and sisters, Wanda Russell of Corbin, Linda Kinney and husband, Everett of Corbin, Barbara Barton of Corbin, Gene Coffey and wife, Rose of Burlington, Donna Bass of Corbin, Robby Beach and wife, Vonelle of Keavy, and Jeff Sykes of Corbin; three grandsons, J.B., Preston and Dylan Coffey; three granddaughters, Tosha, Kayla and Tabitha Coffey; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Coffey; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends, including special friend John Brown of Corbin, all who mourn his passing. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, April 25, 2008 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Stansbury Cemetery.
