Fitzgerald

Dewey Lee Fitzgerald, 82, of 2012 Rose Lane, died Saturday evening in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Mercede Ragland Fitzgerald; born in Nelson County; he was the son of the late James Robert and Clara Coffey Fitzgerald; he was retired owner of Fitzgerald Dry Cleaners; and a member of Fairview Christian Church of which he was an honorary Elder and past member of the board.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Pauline F. Vencill of Richmond; a brother, Lawney N. Fitzgerald of Roseland and a sister, Mrs. Annie May Fitzgerald of Waynesboro.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 2 P.M. at Fairview Christian Church with the Revs. Dr. John L. Suttenfield and Dr. Willie E. Davis. Burial in Ft. Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Diuguid Memorial Chapel Sunday from 7 to 9 P.M.
