Coffey, Henry Cephus was born Feb. 2, 1912 departed this life June 18, 1973. He was the son of Charlie and Susan ( McDaniel ) Coffey.

He professed faith in Christ at early age and joined the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Later he joined by letter Bridge Port Baptist Church and was ordained a deacon. Then he joined the River View Baptist Church where he remained a member until death.

He was married to Virgie Miller and to this union were born 11 children. Daughters Faye and Judy Coffey of Rutledge; Imogene Coffey of the home; Mrs. Pauline Harbin, Gladys Greenlee, Loretta Ward of Rutledge, Dorothy Lindsey of Jefferson City, sons: Lonnie, Coy, Billy of the home.Brother Ennie Coffey of Ohio; Sisters Mrs. Bell Harville Thorn Hill, Mrs. Alice Shockley of Washburn. Two grandchildren. Uncle, Rufus Coffey of Thorn Hill and George Coffey of Bean Station; Aunt Mattie Carpenter of Bean Station.

Lonnie Hugh Coffey was born on 19 January 1950 in Hamblen Co., TN. Lonnie died on 30 December 1996 at the age of 46 at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, Hamblen Co., TN and was buried at Coffey Cemetery in Thorn Hill, Grainger Co., TN.45936,45937,45938,45939

Lonnie H. Coffey, Sr., age 46, of Route 2, Rutledge, died Monday morning, Dec 30, 1996 in Morristown-Hamblen Hospital in Morristown after a long battle with cancer.

He was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his father, Henry Cephus Coffey, and a nephew, Derrick Stratton. Survivors include his sons, Hugh, Jeffrey and Henry Coffey; daughter, Crystal Coffey; mother, Virgie Coffey, all of Rutledge; brothers, Coy Coffey of Jefferson City and Billy Coffey of Rutledge; sisters, Faye Patterson of Dandridge, Dorothy Lindsey of Jefferson City, Gladys Greenlee, Pauline Harbin, Imogene Dalton, Linda Ward, Lorretta Ward and Julia Ballinger all of Rutledge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Jan 1, 1997 from the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Rutledge with Rev. Terry Winstead and Rev. Paul Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffey Cemetery in Thorn Hill.

The Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge in charge of arrangements.

Julia Kay Coffey was born on 8 February 1958 in Tennessee. Julia died at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson City, Jefferson Co., TN on 28 June 2015 and was buried at Avondale Cemetery in Rutledge, Grainger Co., TN on 30 June 2015 .45940

Julia Kay Coffey age 57 of Morristown passed away June 28, 2015 at Jefferson City health and Rehab Center.

She was of the Baptist faith and was saved at an early age.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cephus and Virgie Coffey; children, Derrick Stratton and Joseph Henry; and brother, Lonny Coffey.

Survivors include son, Jesse Ballinger of Jefferson City; sisters, Pauline (James) Harbin, Gladys (Garland) Greenlee, Loretta Ward, Linda (Leroy) Ward, Imogene (Bryant) Dalton all of Rutledge, Fay Patterson of Dandridge, Dorothy (Clayton) Lindsey of Jefferson City; brothers, Coy (Diane) Coffey of Jefferson City, and Billy Coffey of Rutledge; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge. Interment to follow in Avondale Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
