William Lynn Coffey and Sallie Venice Smith were married. Sallie Venice Smith, daughter of Thomas Greenberry Smith and Sarah Jane Williams, was born on 11 October 1911 in Cottle Co., TX. ZEPHYR -- Sallie Venice Coffey, age 90, of Zephyr, Texas, died Monday, March 8, 2004 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dick Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Zephyr Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Heartland Funeral Home, Early.

Mrs. Coffey, a longtime resident of Fort Worth, had lived in Zephyr for the past 30 years. She was retired from General Dynamics (now Lockheed Martin).

Mrs. Coffey was born in Cottle County, Texas on October 11, 1913. She graduated from Albany High School, where she played volleyball and basketball.

During World War II, she began working at Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, now Lockheed Martin, where she retired after more than 25 years. She was a regular member of a gospel quartet that entertained employees during the lunch break. She loved dancing, bingo at Redman Lodge, slot machines in Las Vegas, and hummingbirds and bluebonnets around her front porch.

Mrs. Coffey was preceded in death by her husband, William Lynn Coffey.

The family request memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary C. and Barbara Hitt of Huntsville, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Chris Cunningham of Houston; five granddaughters, Lisa Farra and Gina Goyne of Houston, Kim Woodson of Denton, Laura Hitt of Atlanta, GA, Karen Hitt Allen of Jackson, MS; and four great- granddaughters.

Services for Tony Randall Coffey, 36, of Austin will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Morelock Funeral Home in Brownwood with Rev. Gene Frank officiating. Burial will be in Zephyr Cemetery.

He died at 8 a.m Wednesday at Breckenridge Hospital in Austin after an eight-day illness.

Mr. Coffey was born Oct. 24, 1940 in Brownwood and was a salesman and member of the Baptist church. He married Linda Frank Jan. 10, 1975 in Austin, where he had lived 2 ½ years.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kimberley Lynn Coffey of Fort Worth; a step-daughter, Rhonda Frank of Austin; a stepson, Sam Frank of Austin; his father, William Lynn Coffey of Fort Worth; and his stepmother, Mrs. Sally Coffey of Fort Worth.
