Funeral services for Cleo Coffey, 94, of Big Lake, formerly of Brownwood, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home

She passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006, in Big Lake.

Mrs. Coffey was born June 6, 1912, in Indian Creek to Tip and Lona Jacobs. On Jan 18, 1944 she married Colbert Cowin, who preceded her in death in 1952. She married Cecil Franz Coffey in Brownwood on April 8, 1954, and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Brownwood.

Survivors include daughters Patricia Hester and husband Pug of Big Lake and Frances Edmondson and husband Mike of Zephyr; sons, Charles Coffey and wife Suzanne of Early and Otis Coffey and wife Jennifer of Saginaw; grandchildren, Ronnie Hester and wife Melissa, Donnie Hester and wife Tracey, Lee Ann Rollwitz and husband Brennan, KayLynn Hernandez and husband Joey, Scott Edmondson and wife Monica, Liz Coffey, Clint Coffey and wife Anna, Wade Coffey, Faith Coffey, Zachary Coffey and Caleb Coffey; 21 great-grandchildren; and sister, May Pinson of Killeen.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Laverne Brown; and two brothers, Asa Jacobs and Billy Joe Jacobs.
