GAINESVILLE - Chester R. Riddels, a retired custom welding shop owner, died Friday at a Gainesville hospital. He was 83.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clement Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home

Mr. Riddels was a Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He was a member of Church of Christ in Valley View. He was the widower of Ina Riddels and Marie Riddels.

Survivors: Three daughters, Helen Lemoine of Louisiana, Alice Locklin of Missouri and Nell Huntsberger of Weatherford; three sons, Ervin Riddels of Oklahoma, Calvin Riddels of Tioga and Wayne Riddels of Saginaw; four stepdaughters, Nellie Aaron of Flower Mound, Mary Williams and Nancy Huschke, both of Pilot Point, and Earlene Christman of Tioga; four sisters, Lorene Usrey and Alice Hall, both of Fort Worth, Opal Jones of Arkansas and Iona Hamil of Gordonville; two brothers, Carl Riddels of Arizona and Guy Riddels of Arkansas; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Ina died in Cooke Co., TX on 10 June 1977 and was buried at Valley View Cemetery in Valley View, Cooke Co., TX in June 1977 .^41944,41945
