1260. Jesse Richardson Bridge was born on 30 May 1844 in Augusta Co., VA. Jesse died on 26 December 1889 at the age of 45 in Back Creek, Augusta Co., VA and was buried at Sherando Methodist Church Cemetery in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA.^{4915,4916,4917}

Jesse Richardson Bridge and Elizabeth Estaline "Bettie" Trovy were married on 27 December 1866 in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA.⁴⁹¹⁸ Elizabeth Estaline "Bettie" Trovy, daughter of Robert H. Trovy and Margaret Shar, was born on 8 May 1848 in Amherst Co., VA. Bettie died on 4 May 1937 at the age of 88 in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA and ws buried at Sherando Methodist Church Cemetery in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA on 6 May 1937.⁴⁹¹⁹

SHERANDO-May 5-Mrs. Bettie Trevey Bridge, a devout and beloved lady of this community, died yesterday at 2 o'clock after a brief illness. She was born on May 8, 1848 and had she lived until Saturday she would have celebrated her 89th birthday.

She was the mother of eight children but her husband and three children preceded her in death by many years. Five children, all of whom were at her bedside when she died, mourn their loss. They are: Mrs. Osa Henderson, of Sherando; D. R. Bridge, of Waynesboro; E. R. Bridge, of Lyndhurst; Mrs. Elizabeth Broughman, of Buchanan, a minister of the Brethren Church; and J. B. Bridge, the youngest boy who has never left his mother and home although he has raised a large family. There are also 33 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The funeral services will be conducted tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 11 o'clock at the Mountain View Mennonite Church of which the deceased was a faithful member for many years. The service will be conducted by Rev. E. C. Shank, assisted by Brother J. R. Drive. Burial will be in the nearby cemetery.
