Oran Hollas Watson, age 85, of Trickham, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 5:30 a. m. at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in Brownwood. Services will be Friday at 11:00 a. m. at the First Baptist Church of Santa Anna with Rev. Helen McIver officiating. Interment will follow at the Shields Cemetery directed by Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. Family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 6 until 7 p. m.

Hollas was born October 11, 1918 in Coleman County, Texas to the late William Booker and Lottie Mae Atherton Watson. He was reared in Coleman County and graduated from Santa Anna High School in 1936. On December 25, 1941, Hollas married Mary Tom Jones in Shields and they have celebrated sixty-two years of marriage. He was a World War II veteran serving with the Army Air Corps and a member of the Church of Christ. Hollas was a stockfarmer and an oilfield worker, and owned and operated the Austin Avenue Recreation Center in Brownwood for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Tom Watson of Trickham, Texas; a son, Bill Watson of Trickham, Texas; a sister, Billie May Schrader of Santa Anna, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mitzi Barnett of Coleman, Texas; Tracy Rainer and Wynndi Caldwell, both of Anchorage, Alaska; Jodi Watson of Trickham, Texas; Sandi Watson of Shields, Texas; Shane Watson of Tucson, Arizona; Shelby Daniell Watson and Shannon Paige Watson, both of College Station, Texas; 10 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Watson in 1997.

Tony died on 7 January 2006 at the age of 86 at Bangs Nursing Home in Bangs, Brown Co., TX and was buried at Shields Cemetery in Shields, Coleman Co., TX on 10 January 2006.42882

Mary Tom "Tony" Watson, age 86, of Trickham, Texas passed away Saturday, January 07, 2006 at 3:15 p.m. at the Bangs Nursing Home in Bangs, Texas. Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Santa Anna with Rev. Helen Brock officiating. Interment will follow at the Shields Cemetery under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

Mary Tom was born on October 24, 1919 in Shields, Texas to the late Ewell Sheridan and Ida Perry Jones. She was reared in Shields Community graduating from Santa Anna High School and attended Tarleton State University. On December 25, 1941 she married Oran Hollas Watson in Shields, Texas and celebrated sixty-three years of marriage. Tony was a lifetime resident of Coleman County where she was a member of the Baptist Church and Trickham Quilting Club and she was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Bill Watson of Santa Anna, Texas; eight grandchildren, Mitzi Watson of Brownwood, Texas, Tracy Rainer of Eagle River, Alaska, Wynndi Caldwell of Anchorage, Alaska, Jodi Watson of Santa Anna, Texas, Sandi Watson of Santa Anna, Texas, Shane Watson of Tucson, Arizona, Shelby Watson of Smithville, Texas, Shannon Watson of Smithville, Texas; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Tony was preceded in death by son, Tommy Watson, in 1997. Pallbearers will be Shane Watson, Derrick Barnett, Chase Barnett, Dennis Barnett, Holden Hronek, Randy Scarborough. Honorary pallbearers include Jack McCreary, William Pay Rainer, Treavor Caldwell, Joe Caldwell, Donnie Campbell, Melvin Lawrence, Scotty Lawrence.
