COFFEY, William Davis Sr., 79, of Moneta, formerly of Salem, died Tuesday, January 17, 1995, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Marilyn Gale Coffey and Suzanne C. Holland. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Evelyn S. Coffey; a son, William D. Coffey Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Joey) C. and Steven R. Brads, Naola, Va.; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Cyril Coffey, Towson, Md. and Robert Coffey, Kingsport, Tenn. Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 1995, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. J. D. Hunt III officiating. The family will receive friends at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem Friday from 7 to 8 p.m.

Sutherland and Sarah Nell Armbrister, was born in 1914. Evelyn died in Moneta, Bedford Co., VA on 23 March 1999 and was buried at Sherwood Burial Park in Salem, VA on 26 March 1999 .³⁰³³²

COFFEY, Evelyn Sutherland, 80, of Moneta, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 1999. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Coffey, Sr.; two daughters, Suzane Coffey Holland and Marilyn Coffey. Survivors include a son, William D. Coffey, Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda ("Joey") and Steven Brads, of Monroe; a brother, Ray G. Sutherland, of Macon, Ga.; two sisters, Virginia Rogers and Jene Oakley, both of Bristol, Va.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Friday, March 26, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. J.D. Hunt, III officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 25, 1999 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
