Woods Warrick Coffey, 71, who retired from the employ of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway in 1944, following a service that had extended over 47 years, died Tuesday at his residence, 700 Lexington Avenue. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Coffey was a native of Nelson County. He married Miss Eva E. Ellis of Richmond, who survives. There are three daughters, Mrs. Bowlin Marshall, of this city; Mrs. John W. Tyler, of Richmond, and Mrs. C. Vernon Durrer, of Advance Mills. There this one grandson, Vernon Durrer, Jr.

Mr. Coffey also leaves two sisters, Mr. W. C. Truslow, of Wintergreen, Nelson county, and Mrs. W. R. Dodd of Staunton, and two brothers, John W. and Massie F. Coffey, both residents of Stuart's Draft.

Eva died in Albemarle Co., VA on 2 October 1978.14585
