John Edd Stewart, 87, Moulton, was buried yesterday afternoon at Montgomery Cemetery. Funeral services were held at 2:30 from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He died Tuesday morning about 2:05 at his home following a four months illness.

Mr. Stewart operated a general merchandise store, which is now known as Joiner and Alexander Dry Goods Store, for about 30 years in Moulton. Before going into the store business he was a farmer in the Wren Community. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

The Rev. Evertt Aston, C.L. Riley and W.M. Wear officiated at the service. Elliott Brown Service was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucy Crow Stewart; one son, William Edward Stewart, Moulton; four daughters; Mrs Rena Johnson, Mrs. Stanley Blakemore, Mrs. A.G. Erwin and Mrs. F.C. Pearson, all of Moulton; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Rena Stewart was born on 6 November 1910 in Lawrence Co., AL. Rena died in Moulton, Lawrence Co., AL on 25 March 1995 and was buriedd at Montgomery Cemetery in Moulton, Lawrence Co., AL in March 1995 .17730

MOULTON -- Graveside services for Rena Stewart Johnson, 84, of Moulton will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Montgomery Cemetery with Darryl Wood officiating, Elliott Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson died Saturday at Lawrence County Hosital. She was born Nov. 6, 1910, in Lawrence County.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Ellen Blakemore of Moulton.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
