Funeral for Cecil M. Coffey, 85, of Decatur will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Caudle and the Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating. 

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. 

Mr. Coffey, who died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Floyd E. Tut Fann State Veterans Home, was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Wheeler to Martin Dee Coffey and Mary Laconia Hamilton Coffey. 

He was retired from Monsanto. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Coffey; son, Donald Coffey; four daughters, Linda Atkins, Judy Casey, Carol Poteete and Cindy Drake; stepdaughter, Janet Johnson; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 

Cecil M. Coffey and Eva R. Campbell were married on 21 June 1947 in Lawrence Co., AL.17995 Eva R. Campbell was born in 1926.
