Mary Matilda Coffey and Henry E. Welch were married on 6 February 1874 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵⁰⁷ They²²⁵⁰⁷ appeared in the census on 1 June 1880 in Grainger Co., TN.²²⁵⁰⁸ Henry E. Welch, son of William Welch and Clarkie Scofield, was born in December 1854 in Claiborne Co., TN. He died before 1920 in Tennessee. His burial place has not been located.

13850	vii.	Leslie Welch was born on 12 February 1893 in Luther, Hancock Co., TN. He registered for the WWI draft on 5 June 1917 in Grainger Co., TN and served with the22512 313th Sales Commisary Unit, Quartermaster Corps. He lived with his widowed mother in Grainger Co., TN on 20 January 1920. Leslie died of a pulmonary embolish on 12 October 1952 at the age of 59 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Mountain Home, Washington Co., TN and was buried at Bean Station Cemetery in Bean Station, Grainger Co., TN.22513,22514,22515,22516 Leslie apparently never married.
