WORLEY, Richard Lee 'Dick' - Age 72, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will take place 11AM Friday, May 2, 2003 at Miles Martin Funeral Home. Mr. Vernon Lawrence officiating with burial in Flint Memorial Park. Graveside Military Honors conducted by Labar/Neeley American Legion Post #158 of Clio. Dick's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday from 12-3 and 5-8PM. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Dick was born August 10, 1930 in St. Joseph, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Bessie (Coffey) Worley. He married Jeanette Rashotte in Flint on October 14, 1949. Mr. Worley served in the US Army during the Korean War and saw action at the Chosen Reservoir. He worked as a mechanic retiring from Buick. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be fondly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are: his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Laurie and husband Kenton Hawkins of Clio; son, Rick and wife, Christine Worley of Clio; 5 grandchildren, Curtis and Leanne Pinney, Megan Hawkins, Michael and Theresa Worley; 2 brother-in- law, Al Metevier and Simon Rashotte; uncle, Brenton Coffey; several nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Forrest Worley; sister, Barbara Metevier; and sister-in-law, Pauline Rashotte. Dick's family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Genesys.
