16934. Jerry Wayne Coffey was born on 29 January 1930 in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co., MI. Jerry died on 23 June 1971 at the age of 41 at Herrick Memorial Hospital in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co., MI and was buried at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co., MI.⁴³³³⁸

Tecumseh - Jerry W. Coffey, 41, of 212 Iroquois Street, Tecumseh, died unexpectedly at Herrick Hospital at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday where he had been admitted earlier in the day. He was the son of Elmer and Grace Ellis Coffey, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Coffey was born Jan. 29, 1930, in Tecumseh. On April 1, 1949 he married the former Mary Patricia Spohr in Tecumseh, who survives. Mr. Coffey was a life-time resident of the Tecumseh area. He was the owner and operator of Jerry's Market of Tecumseh. He was a member of the Tecumseh Club.

In addition to his wife surviving are one son, Robert, at home; two daughters, Cynthia at home, and Mrs. James (Nancy) Oberlin of Saline; three brothers, Elmer of Port Clinton, Ohio, Charles of Tecumseh, and Lee of Adrian; six sisters, Mrs. Fred (Vera) White of Toledo, Mrs. Herbert (Thelma) Groening of Grosse Pointe Farms, and Mrs. George (Vivian) Liddell of Saratoga, Calif., Mrs. Carl (Wenonoah) Price of Montroe, Mrs. Earl (Betty) Spangler of Northville, and Mrs. Mariella Lockwood of St. Louis, Mich.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert in 1952 and Jack in 1971. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church of Tecumseh. The Rev. Edmond Watkins will officiate. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.

Mary died on 19 April 2002 at the age of 73 in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co., MI and was buried at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, Lenawee Co., MI.⁴³³³⁹
