Mrs. W. J. Sorrels, age 71, died at her home near Waynesboro at 9:25 a.m. today. She had been confined to her bed for four months.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. G. H. Wilmer, of Fairfield; Harrison, of Akron, Ohio; John and Thomas, of Fairfield; Lewis, of Vesuvius; Claudie, of Timberville; and Elbert at home. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary S. Coffey and Mrs. Rice Blackwell, of Spottswood, and one brother, Wetzel Coffey, of Augusta Springs.

She had been a member of Marlbrook Church for 24 years.

Funeral services will be held at the Spring Valley Church at Donaldsburg, Va., Friday, July 7, at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. D. N. McGrady assisted by Rev. W. R. Vaden.

Florence Virginia Coffey and William Jackson Sorrels were married on 25 January 1891 in Amherst Co., VA.14077 William Jackson Sorrels, son of Joseph Sorrels and Mary Jarvis, was born on 29 August 1869 in Rockcastle Co., KY. William died at home in Augusta Co., VA on 10 May 1938 of Brights Disease and was buried at Spring Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Donaldsburg, Rockbridge Co., VA in May 1938 .14078,14079
