Ms. Hazel Marlene Coffey, 62, of Lenoir, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at her home. 

Born March 17, 1947, in Caldwell County, Hazel was a daughter of the late Howard and Edna Carlton Coffey. 

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Howard Coffey and Patrick Lee Coffey, both of Lenoir; one daughter, Patricia Marlene Coffey of Lenoir; one sister, Lois Herman of Lenoir; two brothers, Clyde Coffey and wife Faye, and Charlie Coffey, all of Lenoir; one grandson, Thomas Lee Coffey of Lenoir; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Coffey of Lenoir. 

A private service will be held at a later date.

Thomas Hayes Bohler, 62, of Abington Road, Lenoir, died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. He was born Dec. 1, 1944, in Caldwell County to the late Patrick Hayes Bohler and Mrs. Ellen Setzer Bohler of Lenoir. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Kirby Bohler. Mr. Bohler was a truck driver and retired from Bernhardt Furniture Company. He was also a United States Marine Corps veteran. Survivors, in addition to his mother ,include a son, Gregory Blake Bohler; a daughter, Virginia Anne Bohler-Cable and her husband Rickey, a brother, Robert Bohler, all of Lenoir; five grandchildren, Kristin Blake Bohler, Miranda Blair Crisp, Chad Beaver, Rickey Lee Cable, and Myra Anne Penley; and two great-grandchildren, William Dale Gant and Ashton Seth-Allan Edwards. Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Robert Setzer. Interment will follow at Kings Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Bohler, Tommy Storie, Jeff Gragg, Sherrill Eller, Randolph L. Laws and Larry Bush. Memorial contributions may be made to: Disabled American Veterans, Alexander County Chapter No. 84, 582 Carrigan Rd., Taylorsville, NC 28681. Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
