Mr. Thaddeus Coffey, a farmer of the Bryan section and father of County Attorney W. Elijah Coffey, died suddenly at his residence on Friday, August 24. Cause of death was given as a heart attack. Mr. Coffey was 60 years of age.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Coffey of Bryan, two sons, Leland Coffey of Glensfork and W. Elijah Coffey of Bruan, and two daughters, Mrs. Sallie Dunbar of of Fonthill and Mrs. Dallie Hadley of Bryan. He also leaves three brothers and three sisters - Burkett Coffey, Ezra Coffey and Warren Coffey, all of Jamestown, Mrs. Lissie Antle, also of Jamestown, Mrs. Bessie Andrew of Creelsboro, and Mrs. Josie Spoon of Columbia.

Funeral services were held in the Union Chapel E. U. B. Church on Saturday afternoon, August 25, conducted by Bro. H. B. Popplewell and Bro. Waldemar Bobroski. Burial was in the Dixon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Antle, Earl Blakey, Orvin Blakey, Odel Eastham, J. N. Buser, and Robert Grant.

Thaddeus Coffey and Bonnie D. Thomas were married. Bonnie D. Thomas was born on 26 March 1904 in Kentucky. Bonnie died in Kentucky on 24 September 1972 and was buried at Dixon Cemetery in Jamestown, Russell Co., KY in September 1972 .24689
